Leptospermum Wairere

Leptospermum Wairere is a low growing and spreading shrub which is renowned for its pretty flowers and arching growth habit. This showy shrub produces masses of single, pale pink flowers with a dark centre during spring and summer which literally coat the plant. The foliage comprises small, dark green leaves which complement the flowers nicely as it grows to 30 cm tall and 1 m wide. Leptospermum Wairere is commonly used in borders or planted as groundcover. A mass planting on a bank looks exceptional, especially during flowering.

Atriplex cinerea (Coast Saltbush)

Atriplex cinerea, commonly known as the Coast Saltbush and Grey Saltbush, is a hardy and somewhat unusual shrub that is perfect for coastal gardens. It features upright stems that host grey leaves with an architectural flair. The Coast Saltbush grows with a somewhat spreading habit to about 50 cm tall and 1 m wide, and can be trimmed as necessary. Atriplex cinerea is commonly used in borders, added to mixed plantings, maintained in a container, used to provide textural and colour contrasts, planted around outdoor living areas such as pools, or used anywhere a hardy and low maintenance plant is required.
