Haloragis erecta Wellington Bronze, commonly known as Shrubby Haloragis, is a NZ native shrub that features bronze-purple foliage. The colourful leaves are held densely off rigid stems, which also host spikes of green-yellow flowers in summer as it grows to 50 cm tall and the same wide. Haloragis Wellington Bronze is commonly added to mixed and border plantings, planted around outdoor living areas such as pools, mass planted on a bank or as a groundcover, or planted around the base of larger trees.
Sequoiadendron giganteum, commonly known as the Giant Redwood, is a large, evergreen tree and aptly named for its red coloured wood. It features feathery, dark green foliage which is held on broad branches emerging off a central trunk as it grows to about 60 m tall and 20 m wide over several hundred years. The Giant Redwood is commonly grown as a specimen, planted to provide shelter, or used for timber production.
