Sophora prostrata, commonly known as Dwarf Kowhai, this NZ native is a bushy shrub with eye-catching form. The intertwined, almost tangled branches are golden coloured and host very small leaves as it grows to 2 m tall and the same wide. Sophora prostrata is commonly grown as an interesting hedge, added to a mixed planting, included in a native planting, or maintained in a container.

Griselinia Canterbury
Griselinia Canterbury, commonly known as Kapuka or NZ Broadleaf, features bright and glossy green foliage held densely on red-brown stems. It typically grows to 3 m tall and 2 m wide and is often trimmed to sizes much less than this. This makes an excellent hedge and is also commonly included in mixed plantings, used to accentuate other foliage or flowering plants, or planted around water features.
