Corynocarpus laevigatus, commonly known as Karaka, is a handsome, NZ native tree that features large and glossy, green leaves. The lush foliage is adorned with cream-green flowers in spring which result in fragrant and fleshy, orange fruit in summer as it grows to 8 m tall and 5 m wide. Corynocarpus laevigatus is commonly included in coastal gardens, planted as a screen or informal hedge, or grown as a lovely specimen. NB: any plantings must consider the risk to children and animals.

Hebe Wiri Prince features lush, mid-green leaves that provide a lovely backdrop to the spikes of rich, violet-purple flowers through summer and autumn. This NZ native grows compactly to about 1 m tall and the same wide. Hebe Wiri Prince is commonly included in mixed plantings and borders, added to a cottage garden, or planted around outdoor living areas. It also suits being mass planted either on a bank or as a groundcover and in both instances affords a lovely display.
