Fagus sylvatica 'Dawyck Green', also known as Green Beech, is a stunning columnar tree with dense, glossy green foliage. Its upright, narrow growth habit makes it ideal for smaller gardens, avenues, or as a striking vertical feature in NZ landscapes. Deciduous in nature, its fresh green leaves turn golden bronze in autumn before falling. With its elegant form and manageable size, 'Dawyck Green' is a superb choice for adding structure and seasonal beauty.

The Purple Fountain beech is a variety of European Beech tree that features colourful foliage and weeping branches. The glossy leaves emerge deep purple in spring, age to purple-green in summer, then develop yellow and orange tones in autumn before falling. It grows with a somewhat columnar habit to about 10 m tall and 4 m wide. Fagus sylvatica Purple Fountain makes for a fantastic specimen and is also commonly added to a mixed planting or can be maintained in a courtyard garden. It is also well suited to having the branches trained along a wire to give a pleached effect.
