Thuja occidentalis Pyramidalis, commonly known as Pyramidal Arborvitae, grows with a narrow and dense, pyramidal shape. The foliage is dark green, sometimes tinged bronze in winter, and produced with a somewhat layered effect to give the plant an interesting texture. It grows to 4 m tall and 1.5 m wide and can be trimmed as necessary. Thuja Pyramidalis is commonly included in a mixed planting, used as a backdrop for smaller plants, grown for shelter or screening, used for hedging, or planted to line an entranceway or avenue. It is great for providing an architectural element and suits being planting against a large, bland wall.
