Chionochloa flavicans, commonly known as Miniature Toetoe, is a popular NZ native grass. It has flowing, green foliage, and white flower plumes in summer. It grows to 90 cm tall and wide in full sun on a well-drained site. Chionochloa flavicans is planted alongside ponds and streams, mass planted groundcover or on a bank, included in borders, used in rock gardens, or maintained in a container.
