Meiwa is a variety of Kumquat that produces bright orange fruits in autumn. The edible fruit are sweet and mildly acidic. They arise from fragrant, white flowers in summer which are borne amidst the glossy, dark green foliage as it grows to 2.5 m tall and 2 m wide. Meiwa is commonly included in a mixed planting, maintained in a container, added to a courtyard garden, planted around outdoor living areas, or grown as a specimen.
