Ophiopogon planiscapus Black Dragon is a variety of the commonly known, Mondo Grass, and is grown for its fine, near black foliage. The foliage is complemented with flower spikes in summer which bear tiny, lilac flowers as it grows to 15 cm tall and the same wide. Ophiopogon Black Dragon looks best when mass planted and is commonly used in rock gardens, included in borders, grown as a ground cover, planted around outdoor living areas, or simply grown in a container.
Agapanthus Gayles Lilac features showy, lilac-blue flowers from spring though summer. These are held as loose clusters on sturdy stems that rise above the foliage. This herbaceous perennial forms a tidy clump of green, strap like foliage as it grows to about 40 cm high and the same wide. Agapanthus Gayles Lilac is a versatile plant that can be used as a low maintenance option on drier sites or in situations with poor soil conditions such as a clay bank. It is also ideal for including in borders or mixed plantings, mass planting as a groundcover, adding to a cottage garden, or simply grown in a container.
