The Mexican Key Lime is a variety of Lime grown for its fruit that are often used in cooking. The fruit are small with a thin skin that is easy to peel, and very acidic with a distinctive lime flavour. They are ripe when they start developing yellow tones. This heavy cropping, evergreen shrub typically grows to 2.5 m tall and the same wide. The Mexican Key Lime is commonly included in a mixed planting or maintained either in a container or in a courtyard garden.
