Kunzea ericoides, commonly known as the Kanuka tree, is a fast growing, NZ native tree. It features small, dark green leaves which release a pleasant fragrance when touched or in a light breeze. Small, white flowers are borne in abundance through summer and are great for attracting birds and bees. This evergreen typically grows to 8 m tall and 4 m wide and can be trimmed as necessary. Kunzea ericoides is commonly grown for shelter, clipped into a slender hedge, or used in native revegetation and riparian plantings.
