Chamaedorea seifrizii, commonly known as the Bamboo Palm, Parlour Palm, or Reed Palm, is a small Palm that produces multiple stems which carry short and lush, dark green fronds. It will eventually reach 3 m in height and 2 m in width, but when grown indoors, it typically grows to just 1.5 m in height and 70 cm in width. Chamaedorea seifrizii is commonly featured in tropical gardens, used for screening, planted around outdoor living areas, incorporated into mixed plantings, or grown indoors as a potted plant.

All potted plants require indoor plant fertiliser. This is particularly important as many nurseries only put enough fertiliser in the pots to last 4-8 weeks after you get the plant home. If no further nutrients are added the plant will start a gradual decline in the quality of foliage and flowers. The Plant Company’s Indoor Plant Fertiliser is placed around the top of the plant pot and will release nutrients every time the plant is watered.
