Ilex Sky Pencil, commonly known as Japanese Holly, is grown for its columnar growth habit. It carries small and glossy, dark green leaves which are held on stiff, upright branches as it grows to 4 m tall, and 80 cm wide. The relatively fine texture and columnar growth habit of Ilex Sky Pencil sets it apart from other landscape plants making it ideal for adding to a mixed planting, using to line a path or entrance, or planting as a backdrop for smaller plants. This Ilex is a great plant for a small garden.
