At this time the shrub is an arching network of thornless branches with clusters of tight buds that open into the exquisite, double blossoms. The leaves emerge a fresh green, darken with age, then develop yellow tones in autumn before falling as it grows to 1.2 m tall and 1 m wide. Chaenomeles Double Take Orange is commonly added to a mixed planting, grown for floral art, used as an informal or formal hedge, or planted in clusters for a stunning display.
