Hebe hulkeana, commonly known as the New Zealand Lilac, is an open and sprawling evergreen shrub. It is renowned for the masses of small, mauve-white flowers produced in spring through summer off slender stems. These sit neatly above the glossy green leaves as it grows to 50 cm tall and 1.5 m wide. Hebe hulkeana is ideal for including in mixed plantings, mass planting as a groundcover, including in borders, or planting around the base of trees and large shrubs.

Hebe diosmifolia is a NZ native shrub that grows as a bushy and rounded shrub with small, bright green leaves held on short, slender stems. The foliage is complemented during winter and spring with showy clusters of delicate, white flowers as it grows to 1 m tall and 1.5 m wide. Hebe diosmifolia is commonly added to a mixed planting, used in borders, planted around outdoor living areas, used in cottage or “white” gardens, or mass planted either on a bank or as a groundcover.
