Syringa laciniata, commonly known as the Cutleaf Lilac, is grown for its showy flowers from late spring through summer. During this time, purple buds open to reveal clusters of fragrant, single, soft lavender-violet flowers. The foliage comprises dark green, heart-shaped leaves and develops yellow tones in autumn before falling. It grows to about 2.5 m tall and 2 m wide. Syringa laciniata is commonly included in a mixed planting, used as a backdrop for smaller plants, or used as a flowering hedge.

Lavandula Ghostly Princess is commonly used in cottage gardens, included in mixed plantings and borders, trimmed into a low hedge, or maintained in a container.
