Ginkgo Fastigiata (Maiden Hair Tree)

Ginkgo Fastigiata, commonly known as the Maiden Hair Tree, is grown for its columnar growth habit and colourful foliage. The rich green leaves turn bright yellow in autumn before falling and form a golden carpet around the tree as they drop. This variety typically grows to 12 m tall and 3 m wide. Ginkgo Fastigiata is commonly used in street and avenue plantings, planted for shelter and screening, used as a backdrop for other plants, or grown as a specimen. It is also great for planting to soften a large, bland wall or for planting around water features such as ponds and streams.
