Thuja occidentalis Rheingold is dwarf conifer that features leaves that are golden yellow and take on copper tones during winter. The foliage is soft and feathery in appearance, and has a lovely aroma when brushed against as it grows to about 1 m tall and the same wide. Thuja Rheingold is commonly included in a mixed or border planting, used in rock gardens, maintained in a container, planted around outdoor living areas, planted to brighten a dull corner, or trimmed for a more formal look.

Agapanthus Charlotte is a dwarf variety that features showy, two-tone blue flowers through spring and summer. These are held as loose clusters on sturdy stems that rise above the foliage. This herbaceous perennial forms a tidy clump of green, strap like foliage to about 50 cm tall and the same wide. Agapanthus Charlotte is a versatile plant that can be used as a low maintenance option on drier sites or in situations with poor soil conditions such as a clay bank.
