Daphne genkwa, commonly known as Blue Daphne or Lilac Daphne, is a medium-sized shrub that hosts masses of beautiful, lavender-blue flowers in spring, just before the foliage appears. This deciduous shrub grows with a symmetrical, rounded shape to about 1 m tall and the same wide. Daphne genkwa is commonly included in a mixed planting, grown in a container, used for border planting, or added to a cottage garden.
