Cornus alba 'Elegantissima', commonly known as the Red-Twig Dogwood, is a deciduous shrub grown for its variegated foliage and colourful stems. The leaves emerge green with a white margin in spring and are held densely. They develop gold, apricot and red tones in autumn before falling to leave behind the vibrant and aesthetic, red stems. It typically grows to 3 m tall and the same wide. Cornus 'Elegantissima' is an excellent choice for mixed plantings, used as a backdrop for smaller plants, growing for winter colour, or planting around outdoor living areas.
