Cornus Cherokee Chief (Flowering Dogwood Cherokee Chief)
Cornus Cherokee Chief is a small, deciduous tree grown for its impressive flowering and attractive form. Masses of rose-red flowers are borne in spring just as the new foliage begins to emerge. The leaves emerge green with bronze tones in spring, age to become dark green, then develop colourful shades of red in autumn before falling as it grows to 12 m tall and 7 m wide. Cornus Cherokee Chief makes a lovely specimen and is a great choice for adding to a mixed planting, using as backdrop for smaller plants, or using in an avenue planting.
Cornus Cherokee Princess (Cherokee Princess Dogwood)
Cornus florida Cherokee Princess is grown for its lovely flowering, attractive form, and colourful foliage. Leaves emerge light green in spring, age to become darker green, then develop impressive red tones in autumn before falling. The foliage is complemented with masses of showy, white flowers in spring which literally coat the tree as it grows to 4 m tall and the same wide. Cornus Cherokee Princess makes for an excellent specimen tree and is great for including in a mixed planting, growing as a specimen, using in an avenue planting, or planting to border an entrance.
