Fraxinus Raywoodii, commonly known as Claret Ash or Red Ash, is an impressive variety that features great form and brilliant autumn colours. The leaves emerge a fresh green in spring, darken during summer, then develop impressive shades of purple, red, and orange in autumn before falling. This Claret Ash grows with an open and rounded canopy to about 12 m tall and 7 m wide. Fraxinus Raywoodii makes for a lovely specimen and provides great shade. It is also commonly used in avenue plantings.
