The 'Meiwa' Kumquat produces bright orange fruits in autumn. The edible fruit is sweet and mildly acidic. They arise from fragrant, white flowers in summer, which are borne amidst the glossy, dark green foliage as it grows to 2.5 m tall and 2 m wide. The 'Meiwa' Kumquat is commonly included in mixed plantings, maintained in containers, added to courtyard gardens, planted around outdoor living areas, or grown as a specimen.
