Clianthus puniceus Rosea is a NZ native shrub that produces stunning, beak like flowers through spring. The masses of large and showy, rose-coloured flowers literally transform the plant. The fine, mid-green foliage provides a lovely backdrop to the flowers as it grows to 2 m tall and the same wide. Clianthus puniceus Rosea is commonly included in a mixed planting, used as a backdrop for smaller plants, grown to soften a bland wall, planted around outdoor living areas, maintained in a container, or mass planted for an impressive display.
"Truly Special" is a magnificent shrub rose owing to its colourful and highly fragrant, warm-pink flowers. The showy blooms are produced from late spring and continue until autumn. The foliage comprises glossy, dark green leaves which provide a lovely backdrop to the flowers. This deciduous plant typically grows to 80 cm tall and the same wide, and is generally pruned each winter with about 75% of the stem removed. It performs best when planted in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site, and is tolerant of frost and cool climates. It also has good disease resistance. “Truly Special” is commonly included in a mixed or border planting, included in a courtyard or cottage garden, or maintained in a container.
