The Beurre Bosc Pear tree is grown for its flavoursome, brown skinned fruit which ripen in late summer. These are held amidst the fresh, green foliage which develops yellow tones in autumn before falling. This variety requires another variety planted nearby such as Williams Bon Chretien or Winter Nelis to aid pollination and achieve good yields. It typically grows to 4 m tall and 3.5 m wide but can be trimmed as necessary. The Beurre Bosc Pear tree is commonly grown for fruit production, included into a mixed planting, or grown as a specimen.
