Metrosideros carminea, commonly known as Climbing Rata or Crimson Rata Vine, is a striking New Zealand native valued for its vivid red flowers and glossy, dark green foliage. This vigorous climber can reach 3–6 metres with support and is ideal for covering fences, trellises, or tree trunks. Hedera canariensis variegata is an Ivy grown for its variegated foliage and rapid growth rate. It will climb to 30 m if left untrimmed and features glossy, cream- and dark green leaves. Hedera canariensis variegata is commonly used to cover large walls or fences, trained over arches or pillars, used as a groundcover, or maintained in a container where it is allowed to trail over the sides.
