Bergenia Marshmallow (Bergenia Elephant Ears)
Bergenia Marshmallow is selected for its lush foliage and pretty flowers. The leaves are large and arranged as a somewhat flat rosette. They tend to be glossy green but as temperatures cool, they develop red-bronze tones. Colourful, pale pink flowers are borne from late winter through spring on short stems as it grows to about 30 cm tall and 40 cm wide. Bergenia Marshmallow is a very fashionable and hardy plant that is ideal for border planting or mass planting as a groundcover. It is often used in cottage gardens, planted around outdoor living areas, or maintained in a container.
