It typically grows to 75 cm tall and the same wide, growing best when planted in a semi-shade or full sun position on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of frost and cool climates but requires moisture during dry spells and protection from heavy frost when establishing. Avoid lime fertiliser.
