Red Wings is a variety of Azalea grown for its lovely form and profuse flowering. This hardy, evergreen shrub produces masses of medium sized, single, bright red flowers from winter through spring. It typically grows to 75 cm tall and the same wide, growing best when planted in a semi-shade or full sun position on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of frost and cool climates but requires moisture during dry spells and protection from heavy frost when establishing. Avoid lime fertiliser.
