Sequoiadendron giganteum, commonly known as the Giant Redwood, is a large, evergreen tree and aptly named for its red coloured wood. It features feathery, dark green foliage which is held on broad branches emerging off a central trunk as it grows to about 60 m tall and 20 m wide over several hundred years. The Giant Redwood is commonly grown as a specimen, planted to provide shelter, or used for timber production.
Acer platanoides Globosum is a deciduous tree grown for its lush foliage and stunning form. It produces a symmetrical and rounded head of mid-green foliage on a solitary trunk which is formed without trimming. As autumn progresses the leaves develop colourful yellow tones before falling. It typically grows to 4 m tall and 3 m wide. Acer Globosum makes for a fantastic specimen and is well suited to growing around outdoor living areas, adding to a mixed planting, using in an avenue planting, or maintaining in a courtyard garden.
