Ajuga Catlins Giant, commonly known as Bugleweed, Common Bugle, or Carpet Bugle, forms a mat of glossy, burgundy leaves as it grows to 25 cm tall and 80 cm wide. Stems carrying showy clusters of deep blue flowers rise above the foliage in spring. Ajuga Catlins Giant is commonly used as a ground cover, planted around the base of larger tree and shrubs, used in shaded areas, added to cottage gardens, or maintained in a container.

Ajuga reptans variegata, commonly known as Bugleweed, Common Bugle, or Carpet Bugle, is a quick growing, ground covering plant that features colourful leaves that are variegated green and cream. In spring, it produces showy clusters of blue flowers as it grows to 20 cm tall and 50 cm wide.
