Acer palmatum Sumi Nagashi is a variety of Japanese Maple that features a rich display of colourful foliage. The foliage emerges scarlet red in spring, ages to become a maroon colour in summer, then turns scarlet red again in autumn before falling. It grows with an open and broad habit to eventually reach 8 m tall and the same wide. Acer Sumi Nagashi is perfect for including in a mixed planting in a large garden, growing as a specimen, planting to soften a bland wall, or for using anywhere the spectacular colour can be enjoyed.
