“Snow Bells” is an herbaceous perennial grown for both its foliage and flowers. It bears white flowers with a yellow centre that last up to four weeks through spring and summer. These contrast beautifully with the dark green, grass-like foliage. It grows as a clump to about 10 cm tall and 25 cm wide, performing best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. It will tolerate moderate frost, dry periods, and coastal environments. This variety of Sisyrinchium is commonly included in cottage and “white” gardens, added to a border planting, maintained in a container, planted around outdoor living areas such as pools and the like, or used anywhere the beauty of this plant can be enjoyed. A mass planting will give a very rewarding display.
