Pittosporum ‘Jade’ is a NZ native shrub grown for its impressive foliage. It features slender, dark-coloured stems which bear small, jade-green leaves which are held densely. This evergreen typically grows to 3 m tall and 2 m wide and can be contained with trimming as necessary. Best results with this plant are achieved when it is grown in full sun on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of most soil types, except extreme wet or dry, moderate shade and frost, wind, and coastal conditions. Pittosporum ‘Jade’ is commonly used for shelter, screening, and hedging. It makes an attractive specimen and is often used as a backdrop to other plants or planted around outdoor living areas to provide both privacy and lovely aesthetics.
