Ligularia ‘Britt-Marie Crawford’ is an outstanding herbaceous perennial. This plant forms a clump of large, rounded, maroon-black leaves. Stems rise above the foliage during summer to bear clusters of bright, orange, daisy like flowers. It typically grows to 60 cm tall and the same wide, performing best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. It will tolerate light frost once established but does require year-round moisture to perform well. During winter if may die back but will regrow again when conditions warm. Ligularia ‘Britt-Marie Crawford’ is often used in border and mixed plantings, planted alongside water features, maintained in a container, included in tropical gardens, or mass planted on a bank or the like for a stunning display.
