Gardenia augusta ‘True Love’ is a beautiful, evergreen shrub, with fantastic flowers. This plant is popular because of its exquisite, intensely fragrant, double, pure white blooms. The flowers have an interesting ‘twirled’ appearance and are produced en masse from summer through winter. The flowers contrast perfectly with the glossy, dark green foliage. It typically grows to 1 m tall and the same wide, performing best when positioned in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of light frost only. Gardenia ‘True Love’ is a versatile plant and is most impressive when mass planted or when grown as a hedge. It is also suited for mixed plantings, container planting, planting around the barbecue area, or including in ‘tropical’ or “white” gardens.
