Corokia ‘Geenty's Ghost’ is a hardy, NZ native shrub grown for its lovely foliage and interesting form. It grows as a mass of wiry and tangled branches bearing small, dark green leaves with a silver sheen. Masses of small, star like, mildly fragrant, yellow flowers are produced through summer amidst the foliage. These are followed by small red-orange berries in autumn which are great for attracting birds. This evergreen typically grows to 1.2 m tall and 1 m wide and can be trimmed as necessary. Corokia ‘Geenty’s Ghost’ grows best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site, though will tolerate wind, frost, coastal conditions, and dry periods once established. It is commonly trimmed into a hedge but also makes a great addition to mixed plantings, or using on challenging sites.
