NATIVES
“Karl Foerster” is an impressive ornamental grass. It grows as a clump and produces upright, dark green leaves. Soft feathery plumes appear above the foliage in summer which initially are green but then age to a wheat-coloured brown. These last through into winter. It will grow to about 1.2 m wide and 60 cm wide. In winter they can be trimmed almost back to ground level whereby they will regrow again. It is tolerant of a wide range of soils and climates but will grow best on a well drained site in full sun. Plant in groups at the back of a border, use to line an entranceway, add to mixed plantings, or grow in a container.
